Land survey by third party opposed

BANGALORE: Karnataka State Survey Settlement and Land Records Executive Employees’ Association has appealed to the Government not to entrust the land survey to a third party. Association general secretary C. Harish and president G.M. Basavaraju told presspersons here on Saturday that the Government and the Commissioner of the Department should withdraw the circulars issued in this regard. The Government, instead of assigning the job to a third party, should take steps to fill the vacancies of 4,000 surveyors’ posts, just as the governments in Maharastra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh had done. — Staff Reporter
