SRF suspends Chennai plant operations

MUMBAI: SRF, the tyre cord manufacturer, on Friday said the polymerisation and spinning lines operations at its Manali plant in Tamil Nadu had been suspended due to power shortage. The company would also avoid more than necessary inventory build-up through the suspension of the plant, it said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
