HYDERABAD: Leaders of all political parties who visited Yashoda Hospital to call on Swapnika, victim of acid attack in Warangal and her parents on Friday condemned the heinous act and promised stern action against the accused. Meanwhile condition of T. Praneetha, who also sustained 40 per cent burns in acid attack and admitted to Axon Hospital here is stated to be stable. Home Minister K. Jana Reddy, TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nava Telangana Party president T. Devender Goud and Praja Rajyam leader Chiranjeevi and his brother, Pavan Kalyan were among those who visited the hospital. The Home Minister was ‘ghearoed’ by student activists for some time demanding firm action against the culprits. Mr. Naidu attributed it to the State’s failure in maintaining law and order. Chiranjeevi had a word with Swapnika and told her to be brave. “Such persons should be sternly punished. I suffered a lot,” she told him.
