Seven Indians in top 50

NEW DELHI: Seven Indians have made it to the top 50 of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World ranking in 2008.

Indians in top-50: Men: Vikas Gowda (discus, 23rd), Anil Kumar Singh (javelin, 36th).

Women: Krishna Poonia (discus, 15th), Harwant Kaur (discus, 37th), Pramila Aiyappa (heptathlon, 34th), J.J. Shobha (heptathlon, 41st), Sushmita Singha Roy (heptathlon, 45th), 4x400m relay team 21st.
