Murder case suspect remanded to custody

SIRKAZHI: Kumar (35), the prime suspect in the 2002 killing of a 10-year-old boy, was produced by the CB-CID before Special Magistrate Jothilingam on Friday. He has been remanded to 12 days’ custody.
Three children in Manonmani Nagar near here had their throats slit on October 4, 2002. While the 10-year-old boy succumbed to the injuries, the two girls aged 12 years survived. Jewellery was also reported missing from the house of one of the girls.
The police was on the lookout for Kumar, who was working as a mason in the area in connection with the case.
