Two law college students arrested

Chennai: Bharathi Kannan and Arumugam, students of the Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College here, were arrested on Wednesday on four charges. The charges included attempt to murder and criminal intimidation.
The students were involved in the clash between students of two different communities on the college campus on November 12.
Undergoing treatment
They are presently undergoing treatment at the trauma care unit of the Government General Hospital.
Arrested on charges
They were arrested on charges under Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 324 (causing injury with dangerous weapons), 307 (attempt to murder) and 506 (2) (criminal intimidation) of IPC.
Police said that the students would be remanded to judicial custody by a magistrate who would visit the hospital on Thursday.
