Teachers to intensify stir

BHUBANESWAR: Members of Orissa Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSSTA) on Thursday courted arrest as they were not satisfied with State government’s assurances on their various demands.

Hundreds of teachers took out a rally from Bhubaneswar Railway Station and tried to break the cordon before the State Assembly premises in the morning.

An OSSTA delegation was immediately called for a meeting with Mass Education Minister Sanjeev Sahu.

Emerging from the meeting OSSTA general secretary Kishore Kumar Panda said the Education Minister assured to fulfil their demands.
