Training in solid waste management

Chennai: Residents of Choolaimedu recently learnt a few lessons in solid waste management at a training programme organised by Exnora International.

The participants were taught to segregate green waste and recyclable waste, both of which form the bulk of household garbage.

M. Chidambaram, Exnora general secretary, said that training programmes would be conducted for the sanitary workers of the Chennai Corporation to help them manage waste.

Choolaimedu Exnora Secretary S. Kasturi Rangan spoke.
