Chennai races rescheduled

CHENNAI: The Stewards of the Madras Race Club have decided to reschedule some of the Chennai races due to administrative reasons, according to a press release. The following are the changes: Eleventh day Sunday Dec. 14 to Sunday Dec. 21, thirteenth day Monday Dec. 15 to Saturday Dec. 27, fourteenth day Sunday Dec. 21 to Sunday Dec. 28, eighteenth day Sunday Dec. 28 to Friday January 2, 2009, nineteenth day Friday Jan. 2 to Monday Jan. 5. The Classic races during this period are: South India 1000 Guineas (Dec. 21), South India 2000 Guineas (Dec. 28) and the South India Oaks (Jan. 5).
