Swetha sizzles

VIJAYAWADA: Swetha Jadhav (64) of Bengal helped her team score a four-wicket victory over Tamil Nadu in the all-India senior women’s inter-State one-day (Group ‘A’) league cricket championship at Anantapur on Thursday.

In another match, Bengal registered an emphatic eight-wicket win over Uttar Pradesh.

Friday is a rest day.

The scores: Tamil Nadu 156 in 48.3 overs (Manjula 37, Kamakshi 33, Soniya Dabir five for 51) lost to Maharashtra 157 for six in 32.1 overs (Swetha Jadhav 64); Uttar Pradesh 81 in 35.3 overs lost to Bengal 82 for two in 26.4 overs.
