Lorry owner killed

VILLUPURAM: A lorry owner, R. Murugan (45) of Keezhperumpakkam, was hacked to death at Vazhuthareddi on the Chennai-Tiruchi Road on Thursday.

The police said that when Murugan was riding a two-wheeler, a gang attacked him. He suffered injuries on the head and died on the spot.

The police secured seven persons in this connection.
