KWA publishes citizen’s charter
Staff Reporter
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Water Authority has brought out a citizen’s charter as part of its declared intent to transform itself into a customer-friendly organisation.
The charter was released here on Wednesday by Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran.
Among other things the charter promises that drinking water connections would be sanctioned within seven days in cities and 15 days in rural areas. Sewerage connections would be sanctioned within 15 days.
Meter reading would be done and bills issued within two months—in cities—and within six months in rural areas. If there were any disputes regarding meter readings and bills, they would be settled within 15 days.
