Gouda matrimonial meet organised

HYDERABAD: Members from the Gouda community turned up in large numbers for a matrimonial-cum-logo release function of the Gouda Marriage Links Society here on Wednesday. The matrimonial meet provided an opportunity to the community members to meet prospective brides and grooms and their parents.

Emphasis

For the large number of parents of brides and grooms, the emphasis was on getting to know each other better than trying to strike a matrimonial match in haste. Over 2,000 brides and grooms, mostly represented by parents from across the State, took part in the Gouda matrimonial meet.

The interest and eagerness to meet and gather information regarding prospective grooms and brides was evident, as the venue quickly ran out of chairs to sit. Several visitors had to stand and wait for their change to take centre stage and announce details about the groom or the bride.

“This is for the third time in as many years that such a meet is being organised by us. We have recently launched our website apgouds.com to maintain database of prospective brides and grooms. Information on employment availability will also be hosted on this website,” said Founder president of Gouda Marriage Links Society B.N. Ram Mohan Goud.

Himayathnagar MLA G. Kishan Reddy, who was the chief guest in the inaugural function, released the new logo of the society and also a souvenir, which provides the much sought after information about brides and grooms from the community.
