SAIL, SCL tie-up formalised

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Steel Complex Limited (SCL) signed an agreement here on Wednesday formalising the conversion of the latter’s facility in Kozhikode into a 50:50 joint venture company. The Central public sector institution SAIL would invest a sum of Rs.50 crore on installing a rolling mill with a capacity to produce 65,000 tonnes of steel at the SCL in the first stage of the programmes envisaged under the venture.
