Muddu’s charge baseless: SEC
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: State Election Commissioner, A.V.S. Reddy has termed as “ baseless, immoral and unethical” the allegation made by former Minister G. Muddukrishnama Naidu that the SEC had, in connivance with the Chief Minister had recommended the abolition of Puttur Assembly Constituency, which was represented by him.
In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that the first and second draft working papers of the Delimitation Commission for Andhra Pradesh were prepared in 2003 and 2004 respectively. The two draft working papers were prepared and circulated to members of the Delimitation Commission before he had assumed charge as SEC at the end of December 2004.
He said that not only Mr. Naidu, several other MLAs, including some Ministers had lost their present constituencies which they had represented for several years.
