Techie killed

A software engineer, Mani Kumar, 20, was killed after the motorcycle on which he was travelling along with his friend was hit by a lorry at Kukatpally on Monday night. His friend Sharat escaped with minor injuries. Kumar, a native of Anantapur district, was working in a MNC at Manikonda.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian died after a speeding car hit him at Gachibowli on Tuesday. The victim has been identified as Dilip Roy (40), a native of Orissa.

He was working as a supervisor in a construction company in Madhapur, police said.

Security guard held

The Narayanguda police on Tuesday arrested a security guard for allegedly stealing Rs.95,000 from a car parked in front of Metro Towers at Vittalwadi. The accused, Lok Bahadur, smashed car’s windscreen with a granite and stole Rs.95,000 kept beneath the seat. The amount was also recovered from him.
