THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Olympic shooting gold medallist Abhinav Bindra advised the young sportspersons in the State to stay focussed and work hard to reach their goal. Terming the State as a wonderful place, he said he was overwhelmed at the show of love by sports-loving public.

Abhinav Bindra promised all help to the State government to promote sports in educational institutions in the State. Abhinav Bindra said he was exploring the possibility of starting a branch of his proposed school in the State.

He said shooting was gaining popularity in the country but it would take time to arrest the issues hampering the smooth progress of the sports in the country. He also deplored the terror attack on Mumbai and complimented the soldiers for their selfless work. — Principal Correspondent
