Plagiarism alleged

BANGALORE: A group of artists has alleged that writer Mallepuram G. Venkatesh has used artist B.S. Desai’s published artwork on the cover page of his book Nalnudi, without permission.

Noted artist Chi. Su. Krishna Setty told presspersons here on Tuesday that the book, published in 2007, had Mr. Desai’s ‘Yoga Darshana” on its cover page in a distorted manner.

Mr. Desai said that he was pained to see his work plagiarised and said he would initiate legal action against the writer and publisher. — Staff Reporter
