KOZHIKODE: The taluk committee of the All Kerala Retail Ration Dealers Association has asked the government not to issue statements on the quantity of rice and wheat to be distributed to cardholders. Such specifications caused undue hardship to dealers who were not supplied enough quantity of grains for distribution. The meeting of the association held here on Tuesday, while flaying the reduced quantity of rice that was supplied for APL cardholders in the district pointed out that there was a shortage of 37 loads of rice than the earlier allotted quantity. The dealers asked the authorities to supply the special quota of sugar allotted for Bakrid and Christmas. —Staff Reporter
