Champions League dates to be decided on Friday

Melbourne: With difficulties in finding a window for the postponed Champions League, the cricket officials from India, Australia and South Africa have decided to hold a telephonic conference on Friday to sort out a date for the Twenty20 tournament.

Scheduled to be held from December 3-10, the Champions League tournament, which will showcase top domestic Twenty20 teams from Australia, England, South Africa, Pakistan and India, was postponed due to security concerns following the Mumbai Mayhem on November 26.

“They’ll look at potential dates but as you can understand it is very difficult to find a window that suits everyone,” a Cricket Australia spokesman was quoted as saying in the Herald Sun.
