Solidarity show at Marina

CHENNAI: Citizens for Change, a voluntary association, held a solidarity show on the Marina Beach on Sunday condemning the terror attacks in Mumbai. Thousands of residents from all walks of life and all ages, signed up for the show to register their protest.
T.Nataraj, a patron of the association, said they wished to mobilise citizens to create better awareness among them about their role in furthering the cause of democracy. The participants took a pledge of “One Nation, One People, One Agenda” and vowed to sustain the movement to improve the political and social milieu.
Forum launched
The Shree Madras Kirana Merchants Association has started a forum to express solidarity to fight terrorism. A signature campaign and public discussion was held on Sunday.
