Sathiyan, Niveditha triumph
CHENNAI: G. Sathiyan (SDAT-Medimix) and A.V. Niveditha (IOC) clinched the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the ranked category of the 1st ESIC table tennis tournament here on Sunday.
The results (all finals):
Women: Ranked: A.V. Niveditha (IOC) bt U.V. Agni (SDAT-AKG) 7-11, 11-7, 5-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-8; Non-ranked: Amrutha Pushpak (SDAT-AKG) bt S. Kiruthika (SDAT-AKG) 11-3, 11-4,10-12,11-8,9-11,11-9.
Men: Ranked: G. Sathiyan (SDAT-Mdx) bt N. Senthil (ICF) 11-8, 5-11, 11-9, 11-9, 5-11, 11-5; Non-ranked: M.H. Kalvath (LTTA) bt L. Sathishwaran (LTTA) 11-7, 7-11, 13-11, 11-5, 12-10.
