TIRUNELVELI: The 3-day 26th State-level Bharathiyar Day sports meet concluded at Anna Stadium, Palayamkottai on Sunday. Speaker R. Avudaiyappan and the Minister for Environment, Youth Welfare and Sports T.P.M. Maideen Khan handed over the trophies to the winning teams. District Collector G. Prakash, Radhapuram MLA M. Appavu, Mayor A.L. Subramanian, Palayamkottai Zone chairman Suba. Seetharaman, were present on the occasion. Fifteen events including basketball, ball badminton, shuttle badminton (singles), shuttle badminton (doubles), football, hockey, handball, kabaddi, kho-kho, table tennis (singles), table tennis (doubles), tennis (singles), tennis (doubles), volleyball and throwball were conducted for boys and girls.
