Train service to Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will introduce a direct train service to Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam from Chennai Central by extending trains (2691/2692) Chennai Central-Bangalore weekend expresses.

The inaugural service will be flagged off by Minister of State for Railways R.Velu on December 7 at the Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam railway station. Regular service will commence on December 12 from Chennai Central and December 14 from Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam.

The train will leave Chennai Central at 11.30 p.m. on Fridays and reach Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam at 10.20 a.m. the next day.

It will leave Sri Satya Sai Prasanti Nilayam at 7.10 p.m. on Sundays and arrive at Chennai Central at 5.15 a.m., according to a Southern Railway release. — Special Correspondent
