Attacks cast shadow: A child looking at an exhibit at the India International Travel Mart in Hyderabad on Friday. — HYDERABAD: A three-day ‘India International Travel Mart’, organised by Bangalore-based Travel Media Networks in association with AP Tourism, began at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road, here on Friday with the participation of 15 States and several foreign countries. G. N. Rao, Officer on Special Duty and Special Secretary, Tourism, formally inaugurated the event in the absence of Tourism Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy. A host Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, UP, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands among others have put up their stalls. Rohit Hangal, director, Travel Media Networks, told press persons that representatives of Malaysia, Indonesia and Oman tourism sector were taking part in the mart. Also, there were representatives of ‘Star Cruises’ and ‘Europe incoming’. The Singapore Tourism Board and the Consulate-General of the Republic of Indonesia were the partner countries. He said following the recent terrorist attack in Mumbai, there were 25-30 per cent cancellations.
