Dentures given away to the poor
Special Correspondent
HYDERABAD: The Sai Oral Health Foundation, founded by Dr. B.C. Roy awardee Dr. A.S. Narayana, on Friday gave away full denture sets to 10 poor patients free of cost at a dental camp here.
Dr. Narayana has been running a free dental consultation clinic for a decade now at the same location near the Government High School in Sanatnagar. The container housing the clinic which was modified by adding two dentists’ chairs by Allwyn Industries, was originally donated in 1990 by late Dr. Peter Westphal, a consultant for WHO.
The camp was part of the social service endeavour of Sai Oral Health Foundation and TANA Foundation, a part of the Telugu Association of North America. Inaugurating the camp, Sanatnagar MLA Marri Sasidhar Reddy said it was imperative for people who have made a mark to give back to society a part of what they had earned.
