Bomb hoax call

NEW DELHI: Anti-sabotage searches were carried out at Hemkund Towers in Kalkaji here on Friday following a call claiming that a bomb was planted in the building. The call later turned out to be a hoax.

The call was received by the Police Control Room around noon and an extensive search operation was launched in the 15-storey building.

The police did not find anything after an hour-long search and declared the call a hoax. The call was later traced to a public telephone booth in the area. Hemkund Towers houses several offices and banks.
