KATHMANDU: The process of discharging nearly 3,000 child combatants from the Maoist cantonments is said to start soon. Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, Radhika Coomaraswamy, discussed the issue with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. She said Mr. Dahal agreed to discharge the minors soon. We are hopeful that the process starts in December and will be finished by the end of February, she said.
