TIRUCHI: Private candidates who had appeared for the X public examinations in September/October 2006 but have failed to obtain their original marksheets can apply to get the same before December 22. The Regional Deputy Director of the Government Examinations, R. Chandrasekaran, in a Press release, said that there have been cases in the Tiruchi region where the candidates have not obtained the marksheets either in person or those sent through posts. As per government rules, original marksheets which have not been received by the candidates can be destroyed after two years. Those who had not obtained the marksheets can utilise this last opportunity to receive the same by submitting an application, providing details of the year of examination, subject and examination centre. The applications should be accompanied by a self-addressed envelope affixed with postal stamps for Rs.30. They should be sent to the Regional Deputy Director, Office of the Deputy Director of Government Examinations, No.1 A, Arabic College Street, Khaja Nagar, Tiruchi-20. Similarly, candidates who appeared for the SSLC exam in March/July/October 2007 and March/July 2008 can also submit applications for getting the marksheets, Mr. Chandrasekaran said.
