Drive against hoardings continues

Bangalore: Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (East Zone) continued its drive against illegal advertisement hoardings on Commercial Street here on Thursday.

S. Puttaswamy, Additional Commissioner (East Zone) of BBMP, said 150 illegal hoardings had been brought down after the launch of the drive on December 1. The fines collected on Thursday amounted to Rs. 11,000.

The drive on Commercial Street would continue. There were big hoardings on that street and they would be brought down on Saturday without causing inconvenience to the people, he said.
