Scouts and Guides camp

KOLLAM: The south zone ‘camporee’ (get-together) of the Bharat Scouts and Guides will be held at Chathannur S.N. Trust Higher Secondary School from December 26 to 29.

District Commissioner (Scouts), William Henry; and District Commissioner (Guides), Sr. Edna Mary, told press persons that the south zone comprised 12 educational districts from the revenue districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta. The theme of this year’s ‘camporee’ is ‘peace and integration.’ The message to be spread through the programme is ‘scouting is the science of outing.’

The participants will stay in tents and will cook their own food.
