HYDERABAD: Information and Public Relations, Tourism and Archaeology Minister, Anam Ramanarayan Reddy on Thursday released “Riches of Indian Archaeological and Cultural Studies”, a felicitation volume in honour of I. K. Sarma, eminent archaeologist, in the Assembly lobbies.

The Minister said Dr. Sarma carved out a niche for himself in the professional archaeological and history circles, through his extensive research and scholarship. Edited by P. Chenna Reddy, Director of Archaeology and Museums, the volume has 82 papers, divided into four sections -- archaeology, art and architecture, epigraphy and numismatics and philosophy.

Fourth publication

Dr. Reddy said it was the fourth publication in the series of felicitation volumes aimed at honouring senior historians, Indologists and archaeologists. Dr. Sarma, Principal Secretary of Tourism, Lakshmi Parthasarathy and Jitendra Das, Superintending Archaeologist, attended.
