Work on NH-9 likely to commence soon

HYDERABAD: Work on four-laning National Highway 9 from Hyderabad to Vijayawada is likely to commence by December-end, Roads & Buildings Minister T. Jeevan Reddy said in the Council on Thursday.

The Minister was responding to a question raised by P. Sudhakar Reddy (Cong.) over the delay in the widening of the NH-9.

Members cutting across the party lines expressed concern over the increasing number of accidents and traffic jams on the vital stretch connecting the capital to the coastal districts and demanded speedy action.
