VISAKHAPATNAM: Traffic on one track (up line) of the railway line between Howrah and Chennai has been restored by 9.10 a.m. on Thursday and work was going on for restoration of the second line. As many as 13 bogies (S2 to S14) and the pantry car of the Patna-Ernakulam Express derailed at a place, about 38 km. from Palasa in Srikakulam district around Wednesday midnight. According to Divisional Commercial Manager, ECoR, M.M. Rao, all bogies of the derailed train are anti-telescopic coaches and hence the damage was minimum. Only five passengers had sustained minor injuries, he said. An inquiry would reveal the cause of derailment, he added.
