Nefarious incidents should be prevented only through non-violent methods: D. Srinivas

India made rapid strides on several fronts protecting communal harmony

Terrorists trying to destabilise the country by creating mistrust between people

NIZAMABAD: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president D. Srinivas has said that terrorists, being envious of the country’s rapid development with unity in diversity, have been creating havoc with series of bomb blasts.

Super power

“Being the largest democracy the country has been emerging as one of the super powers with its supremacy in science and technology. It has made rapid strides on several fronts protecting social fabric and communal harmony despite having myriad of castes, creeds and religious faiths,” he observed while laying the foundation to the Golden Jubilee Hall on the Ladies Club premises, here on Thursday.

They (terrorists) might have believed that they could stall the development and destabilise the country by creating mistrust on each other in the civil society. However, such nefarious and nasty incidents should be prevented only through the non-violent methods and for which women could play a pivotal role as they generally had great patience, said the PCC president.

Fund mobilisation

Promising that he would do his best to mobilise the required fund for construction of the building, he said the women power was infinite and if they tried with all sincerity and commitment they could achieve anything.

Member of Parliament Madhu Goud Yaskhi who performed bhoomi puja to the Golden Jubilee Hall announced Rs. 5 lakh from his MPLAD Fund. Mayor D. Sanjay, the Dichpally MLA A. Lalitha, district Collector B. Ramanjaneyulu, Secretary, Ladies Club Swaroopa and others were present.
