Mumbai terror attacks condemned

Special Correspondent

GULBARGA: Sajjada Nasheen of Dargah Hazrath Khaja Bandanawaz Syed Shaha Khusro Hussaini has termed the terror attacks in Mumbai in which nearly 200 people were killed and hundreds were injured, as a “barbaric and abhorrent act that was un-Islamicand inhumane”.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Dr. Hussaini said that the attacks were not just against Mumbai but against the entire country.

Shock

Expressing his shock at the brutality of the attacks which caused widespread casualties and inflicted damage on prominent landmarks of the city, Dr. Hussaini said that the terrorist acts should be condemned by everyone irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

Dr. Hussaini appealed to the people to exercise restraint in word and deed and to counter these forces together.

Fighting among ourselves would only serve to weaken the resolve to fight terrorism, he said.
