Meeting to discuss farmers’ problems

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Uzhavar Periyakkam (farmers’ movement), an arm of the Pattali Makkal Katchi, will organise a conference on issues and problems being faced by agriculturists in the State at Kancheepuram on December 9.

Sharad Pawar, Union Agriculture Minister, S. Ramadoss, PMK founder, and Anbumani Ramadoss, Union Health Minister, are among those expected to participate. Leaders of various farmers’ organisations have been invited to take part in the deliberations, according to a press release issued by the party.
