International seminar on energy security

HYDERABAD: The Departments of Social Sciences of St. Francis College for Women and St. Mary’s College are conducting an international seminar on ‘Critical Areas of Ensuring Energy Security.’ The seminar will be held at St. Mary’s College, Yousufguda on December 5 and 6.

Critical review

“The objective of the seminar is to debate the rising importance of energy to the national security and critically review the strategies of securing and conserving oil resources,” stated its coordinator, Swaswathi Choudhury. Experts from different research groups and universities will present their papers at the seminar, she said.

Minister to inaugurate

Union Minister for Urban Development S. Jaipal Reddy will inaugurate the seminar while Chief Secretary P. Ramakanth Reddy will preside over the valedictory function.
