State chess championship

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh u-25 State chess championship will be held on December 8 and 9 at the Revenue Guest House at Karimnagar. The top two players from the tournament will represent AP in the forthcoming National u-25 championship.

Under-7 chess

The West Godavari Chess Association is hosting the AP State u-7 chess championship for boys and girls at Tanuku on December 13 and 14. For details, contact G. Srinu (Karimnagar) 9849770970 or Chandrasekhar (Tanuku) 9440867370.

Hockey tournament

Acharya Nagarjuna University will host the four-day Andhra State mini boys (u-14) inter-district hockey championship from December 20 to 23. Thirteen teams under the purview of the Andhra Hockey Association will take part in the tournament.
