COLOMBO: Amid air raids on “identified” LTTE targets on the Kilinochchi battle front, the military on Wednesday claimed to be “pushing their forward boundaries” towards the town which houses the administrative headquarters of the Tigers. The Defence Ministry said here soldiers, who lined up along the western and southern boundaries of the Kilinochchi town, started pushing their forward boundaries further into the town area. It said the offensive of the military in recent days had been slowed down by the torrential rains and resultant floods in the area during last two weeks. The Ministry claimed that heavy clashes were reported in the south of Adampan area since Tuesday morning, as soldiers targeted LTTE bunkers.
