Samal’s resignation: Opposition sticks to its guns

BHUBANESWAR: Opposition legislators continued to stick to their demand for resignation of Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Manmohan Samal on Wednesday even after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made a statement about the opposition allegation.

The opposition parties have been stalling the proceedings of the Assembly for the past several days demanding Mr. Samal’s resignation for his alleged sexual escapades in New Delhi last month. In his statement, Mr. Patnaik said Mr. Samal and the woman in question lived in New Delhi from November 4 to 7.
