PDK to show black flags to Congress Ministers

Staff Reporter

Coimbatore: The Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam (PDK) has planned to show black flags to all the Union Ministers belonging to the Congress whenever they visited Tamil Nadu.

President of the Kazhagam, Kolathur Mani and general secretary K. Ramakrishanan told reporters on Monday that they would wait for three days after the Tamil Nadu delegation led by Chief Minister meets the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on December 4 in connection with the Sri Lankan issue. If it failed to yield any fruitful results, the Kazhagam would show black flags.

Mr. Mani said that killing of the Tamils by the Sri Lankan armed forces and firing at Tamil Nadu fisherman by the Sri Lankan Navy along the Indian Maritime Boundary are been continuing.

An all party meeting convened by the Chief Minister had said the Prime Minister should ask Sri Lanka for a ceasefire. Lakhs of people in Tamil Nadu organised a human chain braving a heavy downpour. In spite of all these attempts, the Centre was continuing to neglect and ignore the sentiments of the Tamils.
