Ticket reservation counter to function from December 29

Staff Reporter

TIRUNELVELI: The computerised train ticket reservation on the Palayamkottai zone office premises will start functioning from December 29.

Minister to inaugurate facility

According to chairman of Palayamkottai Zone Suba. Seetharaman, Union Minister of State for Railway, R. Velu will inaugurate the facility on December 29. Though this reservation counter will initially function from one of the existing buildings, it will be shifted to the new spacious building to be constructed on the same premises in near future.

After the Railway Board refused to give its nod for establishing the reservation counter at Palayamkottai Zone office, Mr. Seetharaman met Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mr. Velu and successfully persuaded them to establish the facility.
