K. N. Nehru to look after Veerapandi Arumugam’s portfolios

CHENNAI: As Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S. Arumugam has been hospitalised, subjects held by him have been allocated to Transport Minister K.N. Nehru.
According to a Raj Bhavan communique, it would take some time for Mr. Arumugam to resume normal work.
Mr. Nehru, in addition to the subjects held by him, will take care of agriculture, agriculture engineering, agro-service co-operative, horticulture sugar cane cess, sugar cane development and wasteland development.
A release from Apollo Hospitals said the condition of Mr. Arumugam was stable.
He was admitted to the hospital on November 26 and is being treated by a panel of specialists.
The Minister’s family has requested visitors to avoid coming to the hospital in view of his health condition.
