650 newspaper executives sacked

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: A Mumbai-based newspaper has allegedly sacked over 650 market research executives in Bangalore.

An aggrieved former executive told presspersons on Tuesday that 38 zonal in-charge employees and seven divisional in-charge staff too had been removed.

Apparently, all of them had been engaged in enrolling subscribers for the soon-to-be-launched newspaper in Bangalore ever since they were recruited some months ago. Without any intimation or notice, the management terminated the service of all the market research executives, he claimed.
