Held for making offensive remarks about girls

CHENNAI: A school teacher was arrested for allegedly making objectionable comments about some girls here on Tuesday.
Police said four girls studying Plus-One in a private school in Vepery met Deputy Commissioner of Police (Kilpauk), M.C. Sarangan, and lodged a complaint. After preliminary enquiries, the teacher, Murali (34) of Arumbakkam was taken into custody.
He was charged under Section 506 and 506 (1) of IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Harassment against Women Act, 2002.
The accused was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
