APSHC MD inspects works

VISAKHAPATNAM: Managing Director of AP State Housing Corporation R. Subrahmanyam has directed the officials concerned to select genuine beneficiaries in the allotment of houses under the JNNURM and Indiramma Urban Housing schemes based on their eligibility.

The MD inspected the houses and other works taken up under the two schemes at Paradesipalem, Bakkannapalem and Kommadi on Tuesday. He asked the officials to ensure provision of basic amenities apart from construction of houses at Kommadi.

He discussed with Municipal Commissioner B. Sridhar the various options for provision of septic tanks or underground drainage for the beneficiaries. The Municipal Commissioner said that there was a plan to construct a mini sewage treatment plant.

While appreciating the quality of the constructions, Mr. Subrahmanyam called upon the officials to hasten the pace of construction.

GVMC Chief Engineer B. Jayarama Reddy, Superintending Engineer (projects) T. Mohan Kumar, Executive Engineer Govinda Rao and APSHC EE M.G.S. Prasad, DEE’ s S. Raghubushana Rao and A. Srinivasa Rao were among those who attended.
