Mandeep takes S.S. Mota to thrilling win

NEW DELHI: A fine hat-trick by Mandeep Singh helped host S. S. Mota Singh Senior Secondary Model School to a thrilling 5-4 victory over Guru Nanak Public School (Punjabi Bagh) in the junior boys’ section of the 26th S. S. Mota Singh memorial hockey tournament at the School ground here on Tuesday.

Jasmeet Singh and Parvinder Singh scored the other goals for the winner. Jaskaran Singh (2), Karan Marwah and Banmeet Singh were successful for Guru Nanak PS.

In another match in the junior section, Modern School (Barakhamba Road) beat Delhi Public School (Vasundhara) 2-0 through goals from Rohit and Bharat. — Special Correspondent
