Tamil Nadu in trouble

KOLKATA: Tamil Nadu was tottering at 199 for six in its second innings at close on the third day of its four-day C.K. Nayudu Trophy pre-quarterfinal match against Uttar Pradesh here on Tuesday.

N. Einstein (68) and Ra. Arvind (52) batted well for Tamil Nadu which still needs 53, with four wickets in hand, to make Uttar Pradesh bat again.

In another match, Jammu & Kashmir lost to Railways by an innings and 65 runs.

The scores:

Tamil Nadu 226 & 199 for six (Ra. Arvind 52, N. Einstein 68, Abhishek Panday three for 37, Md. Numan three for 51) vs. Uttar Pradesh 477 (Amit Singh 167).

J & K 171 & 100 (Sachin Rathi six for 24) lost to Railways 336. — Special Correspondent
