DG and IG of police Srikumar has reviewed security arrangements for the visit BANGALORE: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is coming on a day’s visit to the city on Wednesday. He will inaugurate an international centre at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advance Scientific Research. Later he will attend the centenary celebrations of the Indian Institute of Science. Mr. Singh will arrive at the Yelahanka Air Force Station and then head to the two venues. He will return to New Delhi from the same Air Force base. On Tuesday, Director-General and Inspector-General of Police R. Srikumar reviewed the security arrangements for the visit. He was accompanied by senior police officers and other Government officials. Traffic to be hitTraffic in the following areas will be affected during the movement of the Prime Minister’s convoy. Traffic will be affected on New BEL Road, Sir C.V. Raman Road, Mekhri Circle Service Road, Ramana Maharishi Road, T. Chowdaiah Road and Raj Bhavan Road between 12 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.; also at Raj Bhavan Road, Legislators’ Home Road, T. Chowdaiah Road, Palace Road and Sankey Tank Bund Road (between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.); and Sir. C.V. Raman and New B.E.L. Road (between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.), according to a press release issued by the City police.
